Stoker William James Graham Hunter (LT/KX 108031) served in the Royal Naval Patrol Service during the Second World War. He was the husband of Emma Hunter of 12 Florence Court, Portadown, Co. Armagh.

Mrs. Emma Hunter of 12 Florence Court, Portadown, has received official intimation from the Admiralty that her husband, Stoker William James Graham Hunter, Royal Navy, is reported to have been found drowned on the south coast of England. Stoker Hunter who joined the Royal Navy in May 1940 was aged 44 years, and served on a minesweeper during the last war. Since the outbreak of the present war two ships on which he was serving were lost through enemy action. He was a member of Seagoe Parish Church and paid a visit home last Christmas. He leaves a wife and four young children to mourn his loss

Stoker Hunter died on 1st February 1941 aged 44 years old while serving on H.M. Trawler Bervie Braes. His grave is in Section K, Row B, Grave 6 of Falmouth Cemetery, Cornwall, England. His name is on the Portadown War Memorial and the Seagoe Church of Ireland War Memorial, Portadown, Co. Armagh. His headstone bears the inscription:

God is love.
