Facing the old American cemetery on Rocky Road are the remnants of an anti-aircraft battery. The gunners had a stunning view across the east of Belfast city.
The anti-aircraft battery at Lisnabreeny offered a sweeping view over the industrial sites of East Belfast including the shipyards and aircraft manufacturing factories.
By 2012, little remained of the group of buildings that stood next to the anti-aircraft battery at Rocky Road. The fields were littered with red-brick ruins, concrete rubble, and rusted ironwork and barrels.
