Consolidated B-24H Liberator #42-51202 crash at Snaefell, Isle of Man

On 8th June 1944, an American B-24H Liberator en route to Langford Lodge Airfield, Co. Antrim came down in low cloud over Snaefell Mountain on the Isle of Man.

On 8th June 1944, Consolidated B-24H Liberator #42-51202 crashed in low cloud of Snaefell Mountain, the highest peak on the Isle of Man.

The crew was en route from Base Air Depot 2, U.S.A.A.F. Station 582 at Warton Airfield, Lancashire, England to Langford Lodge Airfield, Co. Antrim. The incident claimed the lives of all 4 crew members on board.
