Sergeant Frank Miskimmin served in the United States Army during the Second World War. He hailed from Waterloo, Iowa, U.S.A.

Sergeant Miskimmin arrived in Northern Ireland on 26th January 1942 as part of the first contingent of American troops. He was 27 years old and served alongside his father David Miskimmin. On arriving in Ulster, his father quipped:

I just came over to keep an eye on the boy.
