S.S. Loch Lomond was a British Merchant vessel, sank in 1940 by the formidable U-47. Among the survivors was Belfast-born Chief Officer Alexander Major.

Chief Officer Alexander Major served on British Merchant vessel S.S. Loch Lomond. He died on 1st December 1943 and his grave is in a family plot in Gibraltar.
