Mary Ann Carter was one of seven members of the family to die as a result of Luftwaffe bombing on Dock Street during the Easter Raid of the Belfast Blitz.

Civilian Mary Ann Carter was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her husband Joseph Carter Sr., daughters Alice Carter, Sarah Carter, Kathleen Carter and Mary Carter, and son Joseph Carter Jr. at 13 Dock Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Mary Ann Carter died on 16th April 1941 aged 37 years old at 13 Dock Street, Belfast.
