Ulster Home Guard Sergeant William Alexander McFarland was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his wife Elizabeth McFarland at 57 Messines Park, Derry/Londonderry at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.

He was the son of Alexander McFarland and Annie McFarland of 16 Hawkins Street, Derry/Londonderry. William Alexander McFarland died on 16th April 1941 aged 44 years old at 57 Messines Park, Derry/Londonderry.
