Alice Carter was one of seven members of the family to die as a result of Luftwaffe bombing on Dock Street during the Easter Raid of the Belfast Blitz.

Civilian Alice Carter was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her parents Joseph Carter Sr. and Mary Ann Carter, sisters Sarah Carter, Kathleen Carter, Mary Carter, and brother Joseph Carter Jr. at 13 Dock Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Alice Carter died on 16th April 1941 aged 16 years old at City Hospital, Belfast. She sustained injuries on 16th April 1941 at 13 Dock Street, Belfast. Alice Carter’s grave is with her brother Joseph Carter Jr., and sister Kathleen Carter in Glenalina Extension, Section T1, Grave 136 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. A funeral service took place on 20th April 1941.
