Driver Ernest Stewart Currie (T/107789) served in the Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War. He was the son of Moses Currie and Margaret Currie of 58 Bridge Street, Portadown, Co. Armagh, and the husband of Muriel Enza Currie of Portadown, Co. Armagh.

Driver Currie died on 18th June 1945 aged 29 years old at Lurgan District Hospital, Lurgan, Co. Armagh. His grave is in Section C, Grave 37 of Seagoe Cemetery, Portadown, Co. Armagh. His name is on the Portadown War Memorial, Portadown, Co. Armagh. His headstone bears the inscription:

For ever with the Lord.
