Private Wilfrid Harold John Reed (3908455) served in 2nd Battalion, South Wales Borderers during the Second World War. He was the son of Wilfrid Harold John Reed and Elizabeth Reed (née Harries) of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, and the husband of Kathleen Reed of Derry~Londonderry.

Private Reed died on 2nd May 1940 aged 24 years old. His grave is in British Plot IV, Row A, Grave 4 of Ballangen New Cemetery, Norway. His headstone bears the inscription:

May Christ’s cross and Mary’s merits bring him to eternal glory and reward him.
