David McCullough

Fusilier David McCullough of Portadown, Co. Armagh served in 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He died on 30th March 1946.

Fusilier David McCullough (6983683) served in 2nd Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of the late James McCullough and the late Mary McCullough of Mandeville Street, Portadown, Co. Armagh.

Fusilier McCullough enlisted in August 1940 and served in India, North Africa, and Italy. He died on 30th March 1946 aged 28 years old as a result of an accident. His grave is in Section 3, Row C, Grave 3 of Klagenfurt War Cemetery, Austria. In 2018, his name was a new addition to the Portadown War Memorial, Portadown, Co. Armagh. His headstone bears the inscription:

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember him.
