Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn, Co. Antrim was a new military establishment in Northern Ireland, opening in 1940 during the early years of the Second World War.
On 6th May 1941, officers of the British Army attended a vehicle maintenance course at a Command Vehicle Maintenance School at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn.
On 3rd December 1943, British soldiers underwent treatment in a converted motor coach serving as a Mobile Dental Unit at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn, Co. Antrim.
