Reminders of life during the Second World War remain in the town of Ballycastle including a tribute to Irish men and women who contributed to the war effort.
On 5th August 1942, No. 22 Mobile Dental Unit parked in the garden of a large house in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim from where it catered to the needs of soldiers.

Rededication of the Ballycastle War Memorial took place in 2015 with the addition of more names of those from the local community who served in both World Wars.
