Belfast Blitz Plaque
In 2016, Belfast City Council began unveiling a series of commemorative plaques across the city to mark the 75th anniversary of the Belfast Blitz. One at Cityside remembers the residents of Vere Street and Sussex Street.
A mural at Cityside Retail and Leisure Park shows a colourful depiction of zookeeper Denise Austin and the famous Sheila the Elephant who walked the streets nearby during the Second World War.
