U.S. Troops arrive in 1942

On 26th January 1942, the first elements of the United States Army arrived in Northern Ireland. Soldiers of 34th (Red Bull) Infantry Division halted briefly at York Road (London, Midland and Scottish Railway Northern Counties Committee) Railway Station.
