Lieutenant Engineer Thomas Hugh Cecil Hickland Fee died on 23rd November 1939 when H.M.S. Rawalpindi came under attack from German battlecruiser Scharnhorst.

Lieutenant Engineer Thomas Hugh Cecil Hickland Fee served in the Royal Naval Reserve during the Second World War. Known as Cecil, he was the only son of the late Mr. D.A. Fee J.P. and Mrs. J.M. Fee of 19 Sans Souci Park, Belfast. Mr. D.A. Fee was a well known estate and land agent and served for a time as chairman of Holywood Urban Council.
In civilian life, Cecil received his education at Campbell College, Belfast and University College, St. Leonards, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland. He then served an apprenticeship with Harland and Wolff Ltd. before joining the P&O Line. He attained a commissioned rank when the Admiralty took over the vessel Rawalpindi.
Lieutenant Engineer Fee died on 23rd November 1939 while serving on H.M.S. Rawalpindi. He has no known grave and his name is on Panel 2, Column 1 of the Liverpool Naval Memorial, Liverpool, Merseyside, England.
