H.M.S. President III was a Royal Navy shore establishment during the Second World War. From 28th August 1939, it operated in Bristol training D.E.M.S. gunners.
Acting Able Seaman George Dawson of Lurgan, Co. Armagh served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War, training as a gunner at H.M.S. President III.
Leading Seaman Thomas Killops of Co. Down died on 7th November 1942 when the Defensively Equipped Merchant Ship S.S. Roxby came under torpedo attack from U-613.
