Able Seaman Irvine Reilly of Annalong, Co. Down died on 1st May 1942 when H.M.S. Amazon came under attack from both the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine.

Able Seaman Irvine Reilly (P/UD/X 1343) served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was the son of William H. Reilly and Ellen Reilly of Annalong, Co. Down.

Able Seaman Reilly died on 1st May 1942 aged 29 years old while serving on H.M.S. Amazon. He has no known grave and his name is on Panel 71, Column 2 of the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.
