Sergeant Douglas George Campbell (748172) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was the son of William Gibb Campbell and Barbara McDonald Campbell of Belfast.

Sergeant Campbell died on 4th May 1941 aged 23 years old while serving in R.A.F. 37 Squadron. His grave is in Section 23, Row H, Grave 23 of North Gate War Cemetery, Baghdad, Iraq. His headstone bears the inscription:

Only child of William and Barbara Campbell of Glasgow. Glasgow High School. F.P.
