Corporal William Henry McCormick of Derry~Londonderry died on 1st September 1943 at a Royal Air Force General Hospital in Carthage, Tunis following an accident.

Corporal William Henry McCormick (972834) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve attached to No. 31 Mobile Field Hospital during the Second World War. He was the eldest son of Charles McCormick and the late Bridget “Bridie” Gertrude McCormick of 17 Lawrence Hill, Derry~Londonderry.

Corporal McCormick died on 1st September 1943 aged 22 years old at the R.A.F. General Hospital, Carthage, Tunisia as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. His grave is in Section 7, Row H, Grave 7 of Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia. His headstone bears the inscription:

Pray for his soul.
