Flight Sergeant Hugh Henry Teggart (553937) served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. He was the son of James Teggart and Elizabeth Teggart of Killough, Co. Down.
Flight Sergeant Teggart died on 1st February 1945 while serving in R.A.F. 166 Squadron. He was an air bomber on Avro Lancaster I ME648 AS-J2 when it took off at 1525hrs from R.A.F. Kirmington, Lincolnshire, England. The plane came down at Niederlustadt, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.
Flight Sergeant Teggart’s grave is in Section 8, Row E, Collective Grave 3-6 of Rheinberg War Cemetery, Germany. His headstone bears the inscription:
