Civilian Matthew McCartney was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his parents Matthew McCartney and Caroline McCartney at 1 Veryan Gardens, Greenisland, Co. Antrim at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.

Matthew McCartney died on 16th April 1941 aged 12 years old at 1 Veryan Gardens, Greenisland, Co. Antrim.
