Mary Jane Brown

Mary Jane Brown was one of several members of the extended family to die at 18 Burke Street on 16th April 1941 as Luftwaffe bombers destroyed the area.

Civilian Mary Jane Brown was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived at 18 Burke Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.

Mary Jane Brown died on 16th April 1941 aged 91 years old at 18 Burke Street, Belfast. Mary Jane Brown’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section D1, Grave 37 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. A funeral service took place on 22nd April 1941.
