Jane Aitken

Civilian Jane Aitken died at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast on 5th May 1941 having sustained injuries at Witham Street, Belfast in The Belfast Blitz.


Civilian Jane Aitken was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her husband John Aitken at 42 Enid Parade, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.

Jane Aitken died on 5th May 1941 aged 51 years old at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. She sustained injuries on 4th May 1941 at 21 Witham Street, Belfast. Jane Aitken’s grave is in Section F2, Grave 763 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. A funeral service took place on 8th May 1941.
