Civilian Gertrude Cochrane was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. She lived with her husband James Cochrane at 43 Columbia Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
Gertrude Cochrane died on 16th April 1941 aged 39 years old at Ohio Street, Belfast. Gertrude Cochrane’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section A, Grave 76 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. A funeral service took place at 1430hrs on 19th April 1941 from Messrs. Melville and Co. Ltd., Townsend Street, Belfast.
