He lived with his parents Ernest Edward Bothwell and Lily Mary Bothwell, brother Ernest Bothwell, and sister Peggy Mary Bothwell at 13 Dock Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
David Edward Bothwell died on 16th April 1941 aged 5 years old at Dock Street, Belfast. David Edward Bothwell’s grave is with his sister Peggy Mary Bothwell at Knockbreda Cemetery, Belfast. A funeral service took place at 1500hrs on 21st April 1941 from Messrs. Melville and Co. Ltd., Townsend Street, Belfast.
