Warrant Officer Class II Alfred Penfold (6392875) served in 70th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz. He was the husband of Annie Penfold of Waterside, Derry/Londonderry. Alfred Penfold died on 16th April 1941 aged 36 years old at Newtownards Airfield, Newtownards, Co. Down.

His grave is in Section H, Grave 846B of Glendermott Church of Ireland Churchyard and New Cemetery, Derry/Londonderry. His headstone bears the inscription:

Peace, perfect peace.
