Civilian Hugh John Stewart was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his wife Mary J. Stewart at 2 Legane Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.

Hugh John Stewart died on 8th April 1941 aged 48 years old at Harland and Wolff Ltd., Queens Road, Belfast. Hugh John Stewart’s grave is in Carmavy Cemetery, Killead, Co. Antrim. A funeral service took place on 10th April 1941 from Messrs. Melville and Co. Ltd., Townsend Street, Belfast.
