Firewatcher Alexander McIlwrath Hagans was a fatal casualty of the Belfast Blitz during the Second World War. He lived with his wife Mary Hagans at 41 Harland Street, Belfast at the time of the Luftwaffe attack on the city.
He was the son of John Hagans and Mary Hagans. Alexander McIlwrath Hagans died on 8th April 1941 aged 39 years old at Harland and Wolff Ltd., Queen’s Road, Belfast.
