Rifleman John Robert Gilpin (7013792) served in 2nd Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles during the Second World War. He was the stepson of Mary Gilpin of Cultra, Co. Down.

Rifleman Gilpin died between 1st June 1940 and 2nd June 1940 aged 19 years old. He has no known grave and his name is on Column 129 of the Dunkirk Memorial, France.
