Fusilier Patrick McDaid (6977015) served in 2nd Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of John McDaid and Ellen McDaid of Strabane, Co. Tyrone.
Fusilier McDaid died on 1st June 1940 aged 27 years old. His grave is in Section VI, Row L, Grave 11 of Oosttaverne Wood Cemetery, Belgium. His headstone bears the inscription:
