Fusilier James Ramsey (6980188) served in 2nd Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of Margaret Ramsey and the stepson of E. Wright of Ballymoney, Co. Antrim.
Fusilier Ramsey died on 2nd May 1944 aged 22 years old. His grave is in Section XIV, Row C, Grave 1 of Beach Head War Cemetery, Anzio, Italy. His headstone bears the inscription:
Jesus have mercy on his soul.
