Rifleman Peter John Treanor (2721340) served in 2nd Battalion, The London Irish Rifles, Royal Ulster Rifles during the Second World War. He was the son of Owen Treanor and Rose Treanor of Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh.
Rifleman Treanor died on 4th December 1943 aged 33 years old. His grave is in Section VIII, Row C, Grave 27 of Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy. His headstone bears the inscription:
Born, Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh, Ireland. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on him. R.I.P.
