Fusilier William Thomas Kerr of Co. Tyrone died on 7th April 1943 fighting with 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers in the area northwest of Mahdi in Tunisia.

Fusilier William Thomas Kerr (6980904) served in 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of Robert Kerr and Jeannie Kerr of Castlederg, Co. Tyrone.

Fusilier Kerr died on 7th April 1943 aged 27 years old. His grave is in Section 1, Row A, Grave 8 of Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia. His headstone bears the inscription:

With thoughts of him our hearts run o’er, with God our joy in treasure store.
