Serjeant William James Walker of Jubilee Terrace, Coleraine, Co. Londonderry died in 1947 after suffering from heat stroke while serving in the Army in India.

Serjeant William James Walker (6975972) served in 1st Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of James Walker and Elizabeth Walker of Coleraine, Co. Londonderry, and the husband of Rose Ann Walker of Jubilee Terrace, Coleraine, Co. Londonderry.

Serjeant Walker died on 2nd June 1947 aged 37 years old as a result of heat stroke while serving in India. He had served in the British Army since 1927 and was twice wounded during the Second World War. His grave is in Section 2, Row E, Grave 11 of Delhi War Cemetery, India.
