Fusilier Alexander Riddell was one of many Ulstermen serving with 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers in the early stages of the Burma campaign in 1942.

Fusilier Alexander Riddell (6979097) served in 1st Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of Alexander Riddell and the late Margaret Riddell of Belfast.
Riddell died on 2nd September 1942 aged 32 years old. His grave is in Special Memorial, Joint Grave 9.C.4. Of Rangoon War Cemetery, Rangoon, Myanmar. His headstone bears the inscription:
Dearly beloved son of Alexander and the late Margaret Riddell. Ever remembered.
