A royal inspection in 1941
On 22nd April 1941, His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester took the salute as 4th Battalion, King's Shropshire Light Infantry paraded in Newcastle, Co. Down.
During the Second World War, 4th Battalion, King's Shropshire Light Infantry served in Ulster as part of 159th Infantry Brigade, 53rd (Welsh) Infantry Division.
