Dickson died in the United Kingdom on 25th September 1943 aged 25-years-old.

Thomas Dickson’s grave is in Section 5W, Grave 79 of Bangor New Cemetery, Bangor, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:

The fittest place where man can die is where he dies for man.
