Joseph Lambert

Joseph Lambert served in the Royal Irish Rifles during World War One. He died on 8th April 1941 as a result of injuries sustained in the Belfast Blitz.

Joseph Lambert was fatally injured on the night of 7th-8th April 1941 when the Luftwaffe attacked Belfast Harbour.

Civilian Joseph Lambert was in the vicinity of Belfast Harbour, Co. Antrim on the night of 7th-8th April 1941. He was the husband of the late Lila Lambert of 57 Rowland Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim.

During World War One, Lambert served with 10th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles.

On the night of 7th-8th April 1941, the Luftwaffe attacked the city in what would become known as The Docks Raid of the Belfast Blitz.

Joseph Lambert died at Mater Hospital, Belfast, Co. Antrim on 8th April 1941 aged 53 years old. His grave is in Hillsborough Church of Ireland, Hillsborough, Co. Down.
