Private Morrison died on 13th February 1944 aged 45 years old at Armagh Sanatorium, Armagh, Co. Armagh where he had been undergoing treatment from a Dr. Robinson. His grave is in Old Ground, Grave 179 of Drumcree Church of Ireland Churchyard, Portadown, Co. Armagh. In 2018, his name was a new addition to the Portadown War Memorial, Portadown, Co. Armagh. His headstone bears the inscription:
