Sergeant James Francis Ferguson Kerr (748075) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during World War Two. Born in Strandtown, Belfast, Co. Antrim, he was the son of James Kerr and Florence Eda Kerr.
Sergeant Kerr died on 21st October 1940 aged 21 years old. He was training as an observer on board Bristol Blenheim L8871. The other crew on board from No. 13 Operational Training Unit were Sergeant LH Hillelson and Sergeant AW Dinsmore. All three died in the accident.
James Francis Ferguson Kerr’s grave is in a family plot at Section A1, Grave 14 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down.
