Sergeant Hubert Guy of Belfast, Co. Antrim served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War.

Sergeant Hubert Guy (1096085) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during World War Two. He was the son of Francis Guy and Elizabeth Guy of Belfast, Co. Antrim.

Hubert died on 18th August 1942 aged 22 years old. He was the pilot of Hawker Hurricane W9117 performing authorised forced landing approaches. The plane dived into the ground at a shallow angle in Lour Paris near Forfar, Angus.

Hubert Guy’s grave is in Section F4, Grave 565 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
