Death in Belfast

Brooker served with the Royal Army Medical Corps at the time of his death. He perished on 5th May 1941, one of nineteen medical staff and patients who died in the bombing of Campbell College Military Hospital. Herbert Montague Brooker served at the No. 24 British General Hospital based at the grammar school in Belfast. This was the ultimate Luftwaffe raid on Belfast in what was known as the Belfast Blitz.
