Lance Corporal Harry Norman Pickup (13058709) served in No. 173 Company, The Pioneer Corps during the Second World War. He was the son of Henry S. Pickup and Janet S. Pickup of Pinner, Middlesex, England.

Lance Corporal Pickup died on 5th May 1941 aged 22 years old. His place of death was No. 24 (London) General Hospital at Campbell College, Belfast. The military hospital sustained heavy damage during the Fire Raid of the Belfast Blitz.

His grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section W, Grave 385 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. His headstone bears the inscription:

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember him.
