Lance Corporal George Sterritt (13009152) served with the Pioneer Corps during the Second World War. He was the son of James Sterritt and Catherine Sterritt of Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, and the husband of Annie Sterritt.

George Sterritt died in Germandy on 13th June 1943 aged 50 years old. His grave is in Section 11, Row D, Grave 10 of the 1939-1945 War Cemetery, Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany. His headstone bears the inscription:

Enfold him in thine arms, O Lord, and love him just for us.
