Lieutenant Antony Howard Hollingsworth (299319) served in 2/6th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment during World War Two. He was the son of Fred Hollingsworth and Winifred Mabel Hollingsworth (née Hughes) of Newcastle upon Tyne, Cumberland.

Antony was the husband of Hazel Lilian Hollingsworth (née Kerr) of Belfast, Co. Antrim. He died on 8th July 1944 aged 26 years old.

Antony Howard Hollingsworth’s grave is in Row B, Grave 17 of Cambes en Plaine War Cemetery, Cambes, Normandy, France. His headstone bears the inscription:

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
