Storekeeper 1st Class Andrew Edward Hammond (NAP/R.585505) served in the Naval Auxiliary Personnel during World War Two. He was born in 1889 in Portsmouth, Hampshire. At his time of death, his address was 13 John Street, Southampton, Hampshire.

Andrew served at the shore base HMS Mersey, a branch of HMS Eaglet, Liverpool, Merseyside. He died in Belfast, Co. Antrim on 27th August 1941 after sustaining a fractured skull in a fall. Hammond was crossing a gangway between docked ships at the time of his death. Belfast City Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
