Private Ernest Smith and Lance Corporal William Henry Wolsey of Portadown, Co. Armagh died on 9th August 1944 while serving in Scottish regiments in France.

Rifleman David McClatchey, a hairdresser from Portadown, Co. Armagh became a prisoner of war in Italy. He died in a military hospital on 10th August 1943.

Serjeant Charles Joseph McVeigh of Portadown, Co. Armagh died on 12th August 1944 as a result of shrapnel wounds while serving with the Royal Ulster Rifles.
